I will assist you in your quest as best I am able. This forest has been cursed by a powerful lich. I have seen his minion taking prisoners underground down a deep hole to the west. A guide from Gideon passed this way some days ago, and has yet to return. I fear he too has been captured.' The centaur disappears into the forest and returns a minute later. 'Take this.
