You explain to the man that you have come from Rivermoore and Stonebridge and seek the man by the name of Gerard. 'Yea? And what do you want of him?' he asks. You tell him of your good fortune in finding the Staff of Jolith and the Blessed Crystal. You explain you only want to help the people of the two towns by finding this man Gerard so that he can again weld the two items so that their magic properties can again save the people. The man begins to speak. 'I have waited a long time, hoping that the staff and the crystal would be found. I am Gerard Wegman. I am the man you seek. I can tell your cause is sincere. Please, I will use my magic and forge the two items as one if you promise to hurry to Father Bartholomew with the Sacred Scepter, so that he may return them to the two towns and verify that the components are complete and safe to use.' Gerard breathes a sigh of relief when he sees that the polished amethyst inside the Blessed Crystal remains intact. 'Finally, one of the 9 Jewels of Bastille will once again be in safe hands.' You nod your agreement and Gerard prepares his magic. A white hot explosion bursts before you, its heat welding the two items as one.
